Launch of 'What does an oracle look like?' + performance programme + exhibition

The Speaking Room, at Embassy Gallery, Edinburgh, is a celebration and launch of the publication ‘What does an oracle look like?’ released by Leaky Press earlier this year.
We open on 30th October with a programme of readings and performances by Scotland-based artists and poets, including:
Robbie McLean,
Rhubaba Choir,
Emma Mortimer,
and Sophia Kelly-Keegan.
From 1830-2100.
The exhibition at Embassy comprises paintings from the series 'the Speaking Room', which premiered at Komplot, Brussels, last Spring. The show will be on view until 2 November.
Launch of 'What does an oracle look like?': Peacock, Aberdeen

Peacock are delighted to support the launch of ‘What does an oracle look like?’ a publication by Perri MacKenzie.
Perri will do a short reading from the book followed by a presentation
on the journey of making the book focusing on the reflexive relationship
of text/image, painting/publication inherent in her practice. She’ll
talk about ‘What does an oracle look like?’ as both sensual space and
performative object, as well as what it means for an artist to have an
editorial vision.
